A dense pink-red hardwood at 700 to 800 kg per cubic metre air dry, cut to your list rather than to a standard range and graded to SANS or to your own house grade.
Kiln-dried and profiled, with a ribbed underside for airflow and an edge groove sized for concealed clip fixing, so nothing is visible on the walking surface.

Heat and steam only. No chemicals, no preservative, nothing to leach. The timber is held at temperature long enough to change the wood itself, which is why the colour runs right through the section rather than sitting on the surface.
The result is a board that moves less with humidity and lasts longer outdoors than the untreated species it started as.
